About 6 and 40 Brewery

Following a successful career in the automotive industry, longtime Colorado residents Thomas Schurmann and his wife Eileen opened 6 and 40 Brewery to celebrate vintage cars, craft beer and local community.  Based in Lakewood, CO, the brewery and taproom is a destination for homebrewers and craft beer enthusiasts, featuring 20 handcrafted beers and seltzers on tap and an open door to the Brew Shop. BOTTLE ONLY - Aged in Cabernet Sauvignon barrels for 5 months, our collaboration with our friends from the Pop Culture Brews Podcast features spice aromas with notes of dried fruits and red wine, an intense, sweet red wine and oak flavor, and some warmth from the sturdy 11% ABV

Highboy Thiolized NZ Cold IPA
A hybrid style that really does not fit neatly into any one category, Highboy started with the grain bill of a kolsch, a hefty dose of Motueka mash hops, NZH-214 whirlpool hops, and Nelson Sauvin and Moutere dry hops. Fermented with a thiolized lager yeast, Sauvignon Blanc and overripe peaches dominate the nose, while a soft bitterness and clean finish make for a refreshing and juicy tasting experience.
