Direct Diesel Injection Hazy IPA
Style: Hazy IPA
Description: Diesels were truly the original motors to use direct injection in which a timed pump sent the fuel through lines to injectors mounted into each of the motors cylinders. Small nozzles sprayed a measured amount of fuel into the cylinder as the piston was coming up to the top. This created a lot of heat and pressure which caused the fuel to explode or detonate inside. Unlike gasoline diesel does not need a spark plug to ignite. Just the pressure and heat allows that to happen. Almost all new vehicles have true fuel injection but the diesels were years ahead.
