Meet the Beer Mechanics

Tasting room photo

We are the mechanics of craft beer. How can we make such a claim? Roll back to 2013 when our Shop was the first homebrew supply store to sponsor a booth at the Great American Beer Festival (GABF) in Denver. Since then we’ve serviced a growing homebrew community and helped launch the careers of several successful commercial brewers. And we’re just getting started!

In the Garage you’ll find our team of Master Mechanics working underneath the hood. Whether it’s a low-octane Pilsner brewed true-to-style or a premium Porter that pushes the boundaries, you can expect high-performance in every pint. Because when you understand the mechanics of craft beer, you’re simply a better brewer. What has been true in homebrewing for years is now what drives our crew commercially.

“the wrench”

José Quiñones

There are only a handful of BJCP-certified technicians with the experience José brings to the Garage floor. Before managing the Shop he owned his own homebrew supply business, helping launch a number of local breweries. His grasp of everything fermentable is unparalleled, firing up the engines of aspiring and veteran homebrewers across Denver. [what’s brewing, José]

Josh Pierce

When you want the job done right, you hire an expert. Which is what Tom did in 2014 when he recruited Josh to help expand the Shop. Since then he’s perfected and fine-tuned the recipes of thousands of homebrewers, winemakers and others in order to formulate his own racing fuel. Pull up to the bar for a clean presentation of style, but don’t be surprised by a beer with a little more torque. [serve it up, Josh]
